Design

Heard's Design Partnership, founded over twenty years ago by Ian and Eve Heard, is a multi faceted graphic design practice based in west Devon. Our core philosophy has always been that design matters; to promote and develop design awareness at all levels of business from major publishing houses and blue chip companies, to small business', SMEs and one-man micro enterprises. Our work has taken us to France and Spain and has been featured in a Swiss design magazine. We see ourselves as visual problem solvers, believing that design is a cerebral process and not a prettying up exercise.

In a world where the word "Design" is too often equated with fashion, we believe that form and function are best friends. That making marks on paper is where it starts and ends and technology, great and useful as it is, is part of the process, not the process in itself. 

Our portfolio covers corporate design, logos and branding; stationery, brochures and leaflets; packaging; advertising and a great deal of illustration. More recently we have diversified into providing scanning and proofing as part of our commitment to finished print, working alongside our lithographic print suppliers and often dealing with the teams on the machines first hand. We've gained a reputation for fine art scanning and have clients across the UK and in Germany.

A selection of recent work can be viewed in the folio (right) and includes new packaging for a local food producer, artist impressions for a new luxury catamaran design and corporate graphics for a regional estate agent.
