Ian is publishing new images first shown at his recent exhibition. The original oil paintings are currently not for sale but Ian has produced two stunning canvas giclées in his own studio. These are full size (56cm sq), varnished by hand and stretched. One, Cornish Farm, is inspired by his native Cornwall, distant landscapes and bright seas. Channel Markers is a study in pastel shades of shallow tides and warm sand. He is also reproducing the watercolour Blue Tamar, inspired by the eponymous valley near his home and one of a series of misty mornings and low light.
If you're interested in Ian's work and want to know more about these atmospheric prints contact us (details above). To see the images in more detail, see the new work gallery (right).

April to July Summer term 2012 Workshops
The new term starts 18th April following the easter break and continues into July. It's mornings only this session, 10.00-1.00 but we will be holding specific one-day workshops and planning day's out sketching and painting. Hopefully including cream teas or pub lunches
We continue surprise quick-draw studies and "how do you do this" questions. Recently we've been exploring organic synthetic pigments like quinacridone and pthalocyanine. If you're interested, contact Ian at the studio for more details.
Please keep our page bookmarked and keep watching for more information.
Ian is also available for demonstrations at other established art groups. Please contact for details.

Ian's books are available in bookshops and other outlets throughout Devon and Cornwall. His first, Classic Boats of the West Country is in its second edition.
